K-5 Pre K Special Education Teacher | Glenwood, Illinois

Make an impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting near Glenwood, IL. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction and resource support to students in PreK through 4th grade. You'll work closely with a collaborative team, sharing the caseload with two other teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to build strong working relationships while honing your expertise in providing high-quality educational interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in and pull-out resource instruction for students in PK-4th grades (caseload split among three teachers).
• Plan and implement individualized education programs in alignment with student goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other service providers to support student success.
• Develop accommodations and modifications tailored to each student’s needs.
• Communicate progress and strategies clearly to families, staff, and administrators.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for student files and required reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement (covering at minimum PreK-5th grade).
• Experience or familiarity working with early childhood and elementary-aged students.
• Ability to adapt to a variety of learning needs and instructional environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

This full-time opportunity offers approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, based on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
