Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification in Colorado (required)
- Experience working with affective needs and/or students displaying autism behaviors preferred
- Background in teaching EC-8th grade and skill in individualized instruction
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and social-emotional support to up to four students in an affective needs classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Partner with two paraprofessionals to deliver personalized, effective learning experiences
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff
