Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (grades 9-12)
• Demonstrated experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs
• Certification and relevant experience as an Athletic Trainer
• Ability to adapt instruction to a wide range of learning styles and abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom and team environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to unique student needs and goals
• Track and report student progress, maintaining thorough, confidential records
• Provide expertise and support as an Athletic Trainer for sports teams and events
• Evaluate and manage student-athlete injuries, develop rehabilitation plans, and communicate care instructions clearly
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for both learning and athletics
