Special Education Teacher | Goffstown, New Hampshire

Preferred experience includes direct leadership in a high school Life Skills environment; however, educators with broader special education backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Your commitment to individualized support and team collaboration will be highly valued.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure (required)
• Previous experience in high school settings, particularly with Life Skills classrooms, is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, case management, and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom that encourages student growth and independence
• Manage room paraprofessionals to ensure cohesive, individualized support for each student
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and functional goals tailored to student needs
• Facilitate effective post-secondary transition planning and vocational skill-building opportunities
• Maintain consistent parent and team communication to support holistic student development
