Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in school-based special education settings strongly preferred
• Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Positive, empathetic, and adaptable mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Administer and track progress on IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education staff and specialists to support inclusive practices
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff development, and parent communications
• Document educational progress and maintain regulatory compliance at all times
• Encourage and celebrate student achievements, big and small
