Special Education Teacher - Goodyear, AZ

Step into a rewarding opportunity working with young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, contract-based role. As an integral member of a resource classroom team, you’ll be working with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, helping each child reach their fullest potential through individualized support and instruction.

This position is available for an immediate start and will continue through the end of the current school year. You’ll enjoy a consistent, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week as you work closely with a caseload of approximately 30 students. Your expertise in special education will be key in managing and adapting curriculum, delivering creative instruction, and collaborating with staff and families to provide the best outcomes for students.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with elementary-age students (K - 3rd grade preferred)
• Strong understanding of IEP process, progress monitoring, and compliance
• Proven classroom management and resource teaching skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents

Responsibilities:

• Deliver resource-based instruction to a diverse caseload of students
• Develop, implement, and track progress of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet varied learning needs
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student growth
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and team planning
