Special Education Teacher - Goose Creek, SC

This position focuses on providing tailored instruction to a current group of nine students in grades 3-6, with occasional responsibilities extending to support learners across grades K-8 as needed. The classroom is designed for optimal student support, featuring a stable team of four aides and full-time ABA resources to enhance therapeutic and educational outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid teaching license with certification in Special Education
• Experience or training in working with mild-to-moderate disabilities
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside aides and ABA professionals
• Knowledgeable in behavior management and individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a self-contained setting
• Adapt lessons to meet a range of academic and behavioral needs among students
