Positions are based at Bee Tree Elementary (Resource/Co-teach and Cross Categorical Self Contained), Cane Bay Elementary (Resource/Co-teach and Autism), Goose Creek Elementary (Cross Categorical Self Contained), and Philip Simmons Elementary (Resource/Co-teach). You’ll be welcomed by dedicated colleagues and engaged students eager to benefit from your expertise.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina Teaching License (Teachers for Tomorrow not accepted)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in K–5 settings is strongly preferred
• Strong communication abilities for collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Enthusiasm for adapting instruction and creating positive, inclusive classroom climates
• Knowledge of IEP goals, documentation, and compliance practices

What you’ll do:

• Deliver customized instruction to meet a range of needs, including resource/co-teaching and self-contained classroom models
• Work closely with classroom teachers in inclusion/resource settings or manage your own classroom in self-contained environments
• Implement IEPs, assess student progress, and adjust strategies to promote each child’s success
• Foster supportive relationships with students and communicate progress with families
• Participate in school-based teams and professional development opportunities

Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with contracts beginning as soon as possible and running through June 4, 2027.
