Special Education Teacher | Goshen, Indiana

Make an impact in the world of education by supporting students with diverse needs. Four contract-to-hire positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 26/27 school year. These roles are based at two middle schools and two elementary schools, serving a range of grades from kindergarten through 12th grade. You’ll work within inclusive special education settings, primarily providing push-in services to support students with varying disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana Special Education teaching license (required)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning or developmental needs
• Ability to adapt instruction for students with a variety of disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and modify curriculum for K-12 students with disabilities, tailoring strategies to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide push-in special education services within general education classrooms, promoting inclusion and academic success
• Work closely with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student learning
• Collect and maintain data on student progress to inform adjustments and IEP meetings
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
