Special Education Teacher - Graham, NC

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a full-time Special Education Teacher in a dedicated educational setting near Graham, NC. This role focuses on providing 1:1 instruction and behavioral support, making a meaningful difference for students requiring specialized assistance. Work closely both as a Teacher and a Teaching Assistant (TA) to foster student progress and help pave the way for academic achievement.

What We're Looking For:

• Certified Special Education Teacher with active state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
• Experience in 1:1 instructional settings preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong behavioral management skills; experience supporting behaviorally challenged students is highly valued
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, working effectively as both teacher and TA
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, curriculum-based instruction to a student requiring behavioral support
• Implement specialized strategies and interventions per IEPs and behavioral plans
• Collaborate with educational teams and families to report progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Support daily instructional activities, adapting materials and approach for a range of learning needs
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Support classroom organization and student engagement in partnership with staff
