Special Education Teacher in Grand Prairie, TX

This role begins August 13, 2026, with an end date of November 5th—and the possibility to extend through Christmas break, depending on when you start. Multiple caseloads are available, working with students from PK3 through 8th grade in a supportive educational environment.

Your expertise will benefit campuses serving diverse learners, with placements available across several school sites. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference for students with special needs as you provide engaging instruction in life skills, fostering growth in both academics and daily living.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working in Functional Life Skills or similar special education settings
• Knowledge of best practices for modifying curriculum and providing individualized instruction
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt instructional materials for students with unique learning needs
• Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress
• Foster social, academic, and functional skill development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Build strong relationships with families and caregivers
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with policies and procedures
