Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education license/certification in Texas (active and in good standing)
• Content certification in English Reading 4-8 or equivalent
• Experience working in a middle school resource setting is preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and collaborating with team members
• Must be able to work onsite for 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted English reading instruction to middle school students in a resource classroom setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Regularly assess, document, and communicate student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student achievement
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
