Special Education Teacher - Grand Prairie, TX

Make a difference every day by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, resource inclusion setting. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based near Grand Prairie, offering 37.5 hours per week within a welcoming and student-focused school environment.

Your expertise will be essential in helping students achieve their goals. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum, implement IEPs, and ensure all learners have access to a meaningful educational experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current and active Texas Special Education Teaching Certification (must include content and SPED certifications)
• Strong background in resource inclusion at the elementary level
• Proven ability to develop, follow, and document Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Will not accept candidates with holds on licensure

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in a resource inclusion classroom for elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals in accordance with district and state regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general educators, paraeducators, and families
• Provide classroom management and positive behavior supports
• Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and participate in ARD meetings
• Contribute to a culture of high expectations, empowerment, and growth for all learners
