Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven experience in a school-based special education setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and individualized instructional strategies
• Compassionate communicator able to collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Adaptability to serve varying age groups and caseloads
• Skills in data collection, progress tracking, and maintaining detailed records

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique strengths and needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure inclusion and academic progress
• Maintain clear communication with families regarding student progress and goals
• Foster a supportive classroom environment promoting learning and self-advocacy
• Document all relevant student data to comply with district and state requirements
