Key Qualifications:

• Maryland Special Education (SPED) Certification required
• Experience with elementary self-contained or similar SPED environments preferred
• Familiarity with interventions such as Read 180, iSPIRE, Orton-Gillingham, and the Bridges Program a plus
• Proficiency in IEP development, implementation, and updates
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom starting with 5 students, growing to 9-10 over the year
• Design and adapt curriculum meeting students’ academic and emotional needs
• Integrate PEALS framework and targeted interventions based on caseload
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Update, monitor, and implement IEPs (IEP meetings typically on Tuesdays)
