Special Ed Teacher | Gray Court, South Carolina

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• South Carolina Multi-Categorical Special Education certification (required)
• Experience teaching or supporting elementary-age students, particularly in self-contained classrooms
• Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general education teachers, therapists, and families
• Excellent organization, patience, and adaptability

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned instruction to students in K–3 self-contained special education settings
• Develop and implement individualized education plans in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and accommodations to support diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere, promoting student independence and confidence
• Work closely with support staff, therapists, and administrators to holistically address students' needs
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and timely communication with families
