Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher with third through sixth graders for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to support a small, center-based caseload of approximately ten students, fostering growth and success in a supportive educational environment. You'll collaborate closely with a team of educators and specialists to create individualized learning plans that cater to each child's unique strengths and needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, specifically grades 3–6
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Skill in modifying curriculum and adapting instructional strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Patience, creativity, and a student-centered approach
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a center-based caseload of about ten students
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Assess student abilities and progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Foster a safe and encouraging classroom climate that supports academic, social, and emotional development
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication about student progress
This role requires a commitment from August 24th through June 11th, working 35 hours per week within a positive and collaborative school setting.
