This full-time role begins in late August and continues through mid-June, providing 35 hours per week of meaningful interaction and guidance to students who benefit from specialized instruction. Collaborate with a supportive staff and engage directly with students who will benefit from your expertise and compassionate approach.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience with 3rd to 6th grade learners preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a diverse range of learning needs
  • Positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instructional support to a center-based group of roughly 10 students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Utilize creative strategies to foster engagement and academic progression
  • Track and report student outcomes regularly
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent communications
  • Foster an encouraging learning environment centered on student growth and success
