Special Ed Teacher - Great Falls, South Carolina

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained classroom setting at an elementary school in Great Falls, South Carolina. The role involves working full-time on a contract basis to ensure all students receive individualized educational support tailored to their needs.

Location: Great Falls, SC
Contract Dates: March 16, 2026 – June 3, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to state guidelines and student requirements
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet learning goals
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and administrators

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active South Carolina Teaching License with Multi-Category (Multi-Cat) endorsement is required; only candidates with current licenses will be considered
• Experience working with students in self-contained special education classrooms preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional techniques, and behavioral management strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and team members
