Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License (Multi-categorical or appropriate certification required)
  • Experience working with students in specialized settings, including moderate self-contained and co-taught resource rooms
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction for learners with diverse needs
  • Comfortable collaborating with general education staff, support professionals, and families
  • Passion for fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in students with disabilities
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites as assigned
  • Professional, empathetic, and flexible mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction, modify curriculum, and deliver IEP services tailored to student strengths and needs
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive environment in both specialty and resource settings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and update IEP goals
  • Maintain thorough records and required documentation for compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student progress and strategies for success
  • Participate in professional development and site-based team meetings as required
