Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license with Multi-categorical certification or appropriate endorsements
- Experience in elementary, middle, high school, or PreK special education settings
- Comfort managing caseloads within special settings, moderate classrooms, co-taught resource rooms, or multi-categorical self-contained environments
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum, collaborating with general education staff, and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- EC certification/endorsement required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in onsite classrooms across elementary, middle, high school, or PreK environments (scheduling based on assignment)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment tailored for special needs
- Utilize progress monitoring tools to track and report on student growth
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education guidelines
