Special Education Teacher | Great Falls, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license; must include Multi-categorical or appropriate required certifications/endorsements.
• Proven experience delivering instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Flexibility to work onsite across various grade levels and settings (elementary, middle, high school, PreK).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated capability in managing classrooms with moderate to specialized instructional programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in special settings (moderate classrooms, co-taught resource rooms, multi-category self-contained environments).
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to address academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
• Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student progress and well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
