Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license; must include Multi-categorical or appropriate required certifications/endorsements.
- Proven experience delivering instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Flexibility to work onsite across various grade levels and settings (elementary, middle, high school, PreK).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated capability in managing classrooms with moderate to specialized instructional programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in special settings (moderate classrooms, co-taught resource rooms, multi-category self-contained environments).
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to address academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
