Key Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
- Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum
- Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with learning and behavioral differences
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver IEP-driven instruction and support to middle and high school students in a cross-categorical classroom
- Adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate individual learning needs and goals
- Conduct assessments, collect student data, and participate in IEP meetings
- Implement behavioral interventions and positive supports as needed
- Partner with school teams and families to ensure continuity of services and effective communication
- Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and high expectations for all students
