Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
  • Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with learning and behavioral differences
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver IEP-driven instruction and support to middle and high school students in a cross-categorical classroom
  • Adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate individual learning needs and goals
  • Conduct assessments, collect student data, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Implement behavioral interventions and positive supports as needed
  • Partner with school teams and families to ensure continuity of services and effective communication
  • Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and high expectations for all students
