Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching certification for grades 5-12, with moderate disabilities endorsement
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and direct service delivery
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services to middle or high school students, helping each student achieve their fullest potential
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions
