Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid North Carolina General Curriculum K-12 certification.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in elementary or middle school, or strong practicum/internship experience in similar settings.
- Knowledgeable in inclusion and resource models for special education.
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and adapting instruction for diverse learning needs.
- Passion for cultivating social-emotional growth and integrating SEL programming.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to K-8 students identified for special education services (inclusion & resource).
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
