Special Education Teacher - Greentown, IN

Step into a meaningful role supporting junior high and high school students as a Resource Teacher on a full-time contract basis. This position is based in a supportive school environment near Greentown, IN, with a workday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. You’ll focus on fostering student growth and collaborating with fellow educators to make a direct impact on learners’ academic journeys.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working with junior high and/or high school students preferred
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for mild disabilities
• Ability to teach self-contained resource blocks effectively
• Familiarity with writing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with general education teachers
• Organized and detail-oriented in handling documentation and student progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support students with mild disabilities in both junior high and high school settings
• Deliver instruction within self-contained resource classrooms
• Modify and accommodate materials to meet individual student needs
• Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices
• Develop, write, and maintain individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Foster a positive and productive learning environment
