Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Prior classroom experience with middle-grade students preferred
• Understanding and application of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and therapists
• Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to students’ personal and academic development

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver purposeful, differentiated instruction to meet each student's unique needs within a therapeutic, structured classroom environment
• Foster a safe, supportive atmosphere that encourages positive behavioral and emotional growth
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with families and school staff to ensure progress
• Integrate therapeutic strategies in daily teaching, working closely with counseling and support staff
