Middle School Special Education Teacher

Location: Greenville, GA
Start: Beginning of school year, details discussed in an interview
Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Middle School Students. Details discussed in an interview
Pay: $32-35/hour, dependent on qualifications and experience

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid GA teaching certification or licensure for Special Education.
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in an educational setting
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Understanding of individualized instruction, behavior management techniques, and
evidence-based interventions.

Position:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our RISE program. RISE is a therapeutic program for students who need alternative education in a therapeutic environment. The SPED Teacher will provide specialized instruction, support, and advocacy to students with disabilities, ensuring their academic and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive education practices, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with
disabilities, in collaboration with parents/guardians, support staff, and related service
providers.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and promoting learning.
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies
to facilitate student engagement and success.
