This role seeks experienced special education professionals passionate about fostering inclusive learning. Two unique positions are available—one for a Life Skills Teacher with Moderate Intervention certification and another for a Structured Teach (Autism Support) Teacher with Mild Intervention certification.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate to the role (Moderate or Mild Intervention)
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong background working with diverse learners, including those with intellectual, developmental, and/or autism spectrum differences
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt instruction and use evidence-based practices
  • Commitment to creating a supportive, structured, and differentiated classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10–15 students, adapting lessons to meet their academic, social, and behavioral goals
  • Collaborate with families and staff to ensure student success and compliance with IEP goals
  • Provide direct instruction, targeted support, and strategies rooted in best practices for students with moderate or mild needs
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages social and emotional development
  • Document student growth, maintain accurate records, and participate in regular team meetings
  • Life Skills Teacher hours: 7:20 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.
  • Structured Teach (Autism Support) Teacher hours: 8:20 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.
