Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification required
- For Life Skills role: Moderate Intervention certification
- For Structured Teach: Mild Intervention certification
- Classroom experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability with strong communication skills
- Classroom management expertise and commitment to differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver lessons and activities supporting academic, social, and personal development
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies to promote engagement and progress
- Collaborate closely with support staff, paraprofessionals, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and ongoing assessments
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Role Specifics:
- Life Skills: Moderate Intervention certification required
- Schedule: 7:20 a.m.–3:10 p.m.
- Serve a caseload of approximately 10–15 students
- Structured Teach (Autism Support): Mild Intervention certification required
- Schedule: 8:20 a.m.–4:10 p.m.
- Caseload ranges from 10–15 students
