Special Education Teacher | Greenwood, Indiana

Two positions are available for dedicated resource teachers to deliver targeted support to middle school learners. Working from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM, you'll serve as an advocate and resource for students with diverse abilities, utilizing evidence-based strategies to foster growth and independence.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Special Education teaching license in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Develop lesson plans using differentiated instructional methods
• Monitor student progress, track data, and adjust learning strategies as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluation processes
