Special Education Teacher | Greenwood, Indiana

Two positions are available, offering full-time schedules (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) with start and end times around 8:20 AM to 3:10 PM. Both roles require a current Indiana teaching license.

Available roles:

• Special Education Resource Teacher: Support a caseload of 25-30 students requiring mild intervention.
• Special Education Essential Teacher: Work closely with a smaller caseload of 10 students, focused on intense intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana teaching license with either mild or intense intervention certification
• Experience in special education settings, or a deep passion for working with students with learning differences
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and document progress
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and growth-oriented classroom environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) specific to student needs
• Deliver engaging instruction, adapting lessons to support diverse learners
• Assess student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in student support meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to best support each learner
• Foster a positive, structured classroom climate
