Special Education Teacher in Greenwood, SC

You’ll be working with a small caseload—currently fewer than 10 students—offering the opportunity for focused, individualized instruction. Please note, there is potential for the caseload to change if the program is combined with grades K–4; you’ll be kept updated should any adjustments occur.

Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood special education
• Dedication to creating inclusive, nurturing classroom environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and adaptability as program needs evolve

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to preschool student needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to foster every child’s learning
• Foster a collaborative classroom culture that celebrates each student’s strengths
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and related service providers
• Track progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory and district requirements
