Special Education Teacher (SPED) – 2026/2027 School Year Contract
Location: Greenwood, South Carolina

Term: Full 2026/2027 Academic Year (Contract Assignment)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment in Greenwood, SC, for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning style and goals.
• Modify the general education curriculum to meet the needs of special education students.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and parents to support student progress.
• Provide direct instruction and supportive learning environments in self-contained, resource, or co-taught settings.
• Track, document, and report on student progress and IEP goals in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
• Licensure: Valid South Carolina educator license with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one prior to the start of the school year).
• Experience: Prior classroom teaching experience is highly preferred, but passionate new graduates are welcome to apply!
• Skills: Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring.
