Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching elementary school (1st–5th grade)
• Proven success developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Flexibility and adaptability in addressing student needs
• Knowledge of current best practices in special education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction to meet the needs of each student in alignment with IEPs for grades 1–5
• Develop creative lesson plans that support diverse learning styles and academic levels
• Employ effective assessment methods to track student progress and adjust approaches as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to maximize student inclusion
• Lead or participate in IEP meetings, providing clear communication with families and team members
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide compassionate support, guiding students with learning differences toward academic and social success
