Starting August 3, 2026 and concluding May 27, 2027, you’ll work a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The exact number of school assignments and caseload specifics will be determined closer to the start date, ensuring an optimal match based on your experience and district needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement (no TA or TAT considered)
- Currently certified to teach in Louisiana—ready for immediate placement, with no pending licensure processes
- Successful completion of district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a Special Education setting within K-12 schools is preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality special education instruction, tailored to student IEPs and learning goals
- Modify curriculum and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse abilities and learning styles
