A full-time special education teaching position is available for a Middle School Life Skills classroom serving grades 6-8. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with life skills needs in a self-contained middle school setting
- Writing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student growth and compliance with all applicable regulations
- Collaborating with staff and families to create a supportive learning environment
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviors
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Certified Special Education Teacher credential
- Familiarity with Life Skills curriculum and strategies for middle school students
- Experience writing and managing IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
