Two distinct positions are available:

  • Resource/Co-Teaching: Collaborate closely with general education staff to provide targeted resource support and inclusive co-teaching to high school students, ensuring access to curricula and promoting student growth.
  • Self-Contained (Neurodiverse): Lead a dedicated classroom for neurodiverse students in a self-contained setting, developing and implementing individualized strategies that foster academic and personal development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience with high school-aged students highly desired
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Commitment to supporting students with various exceptionalities, including neurodiverse learners
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organization skills
  • Familiarity with resource and co-teaching models or self-contained instructional practices

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Effectively manage IEP processes, including writing goals, documenting progress, and maintaining compliance
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on student strengths and growth
  • Adapt and differentiate instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing school initiatives
