This travel position offers an opportunity to provide in-person special education support for students in 1st, 4th, and 5th grades from March 24, 2026, to early June 2026 in the Albany, NY area. The role involves delivering push-in special education consultation and coverage for a leave of absence, collaborating closely with classroom teachers and related services staff to meet each student’s individualized needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in special education support tailored to students in 1st, 4th, and 5th grades
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state requirements
- Partner with related services staff to coordinate effective educational strategies
- Provide timely documentation and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with families and educational teams to support student success
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Educator License with a Special Education endorsement
- Ability to independently develop and implement IEPs
- Minimum of two years recent teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
