Professionally, you'll provide essential support to Grade 8 students through co-teaching in English and Social Studies, managing a shared caseload, and collaborating daily with fellow educators. Qualifications:

  • New York State Educator License with Special Education Endorsement (required)
  • At least 2 years of recent special education teaching experience (preferred)
  • Strong command of writing and executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to work effectively within a co-teaching model and with related services staff

Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach Grade 8 English and Social Studies with a focus on differentiated instruction
  • Maintain and implement IEPs for a shared caseload of about 13 students
  • Collaborate closely with other teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
