Special Education Teacher - Gypsum, CO

Make a meaningful difference in early childhood education as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic contract role. You'll work with PreK students in a supportive environment, guiding them through foundational learning experiences and individualized instruction. In this role, you will:

• Support early childhood learners within a caseload of approximately 10-20 students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for PreK-aged children with varying needs.
• Employ evidence-based strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Foster positive classroom management and nurture effective communication with families and multidisciplinary staff.
• Fulfill a consistent, on-site weekday schedule from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, engaging with students and colleagues in person.
• Adapt your approach to various school sites within the district, bringing flexibility and creativity to meet community needs.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid state licensure or certification in Special Education for Early Childhood/PreK.
• Previous experience or deep interest in working with PreK-aged children and delivering early childhood special education.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent collaboration skills for working within a team setting and across multiple school sites.
• Ability to balance adaptability, empathy, and problem-solving in a fast-paced education environment.

This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering a predictable Monday through Friday schedule and guaranteed full-time hours.
