Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility in Colorado
  • Experience working with early childhood or PreK students preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 10–20 PreK students across multiple sites, tailored to individual education plans
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in partnership with families and colleagues
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to maximize student inclusion and learning
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and maintain accurate records of services and outcomes
  • Foster a positive, accepting classroom environment that encourages each child’s academic and social-emotional development
  • Participate in parent meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions
