Special Education Teacher in Gypsum, CO

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license (Please provide documentation upon application)
• Experience working with students in the 6th-8th grade range is highly valued
• Background supporting learners with significant needs preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to implement individualized education plans with compassion and effectiveness
• Adaptable and resourceful in varied classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 5 students, tailoring instruction to support diverse academic and functional needs
• Develop, modify, and lead instruction based on IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success
• Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment focused on growth and development
• Confidently utilize assessment and progress monitoring tools to guide instructional decisions
• Communicate regularly with families on progress and strategies
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
