Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Confidence in managing a caseload of approximately 20 students
- Strong skills assisting with math and reading content mastery
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a resource room setting
- Support students’ mastery in core subjects, primarily math and reading
- Deliver push-in services to general education classrooms as needed
- Write, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Track student progress, communicate with parents and staff, and adjust strategies as required
- Participate in required meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
- Attend new teacher orientation starting July 22nd to prepare for the academic year
This position offers an hourly compensation range of $32–$40, reflective of experience and qualifications.
