Special Education Teacher - Hale Center, Texas

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to serve in a Resource Inclusion classroom for the current school year. Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Effectively collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and support services
• Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet diverse student needs in a Resource Inclusion setting
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Attend IEP meetings, contribute to planning, and participate in professional development sessions
• Implement best practices in behavior management and differentiated learning

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification for Special Education (in Texas or eligible for reciprocity)
• Experience in inclusive/resource classroom settings is preferred
• Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and student advocacy
• Ability to quickly adapt and support new students mid-year
• Professional commitment to empowering students of all abilities
