Soliant is seeking experienced and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students during the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently hiring for multiple full-time positions across Special Day Class (SDC) and Resource Specialist Program (RSP) settings.

These opportunities are ideal for California-certified educators who are passionate about creating supportive, inclusive learning environments and helping students achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Assignment Details

School Year: 2026–2027
Duration: August 13, 2026 - June 4, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: School-based
Positions Available: 4 total

1. SDC Teacher – 2 Positions

  • Mod/Severe credential required

  • Autism credentials required

2. RSP Teacher – 2 Positions

  • Mild/Mod credential required

Classroom Support: Paraprofessional support is provided at a 3:1 ratio


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals.

  • Provide specialized academic and behavioral support in SDC or RSP settings.

  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers.

  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans.

  • Maintain accurate student documentation and progress data.

  • Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and functional skills.

  • Utilize available paraprofessional support effectively to meet student needs.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid California Teaching License/credential appropriate for the assigned position.

  • SDC Teachers: Mod/Severe credential with Autism credentials.

  • RSP Teachers: Mild/Mod credential.

  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

  • Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an SDC or RSP setting.

  • Experience working with students with autism and/or significant support needs.

  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.

  • Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary school teams.
