Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5), especially in special education environments
• Familiarity with life skills curricula and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to foster an encouraging, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to a small group of 4 students in a life skills classroom
• Collaborate closely with classroom paras to provide cohesive support and maintain a positive learning environment
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and activities to meet students’ individual needs and IEP goals
• Employ effective behavior management strategies tailored to each student
• Track progress, assess growth, and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Foster skills for daily living, communication, and socialization to empower students both inside and outside the classroom
