Special Education Teacher in Hamburg, NY

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education (required).
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings.
• Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to adapt instruction as needed.

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with a 2nd-grade student in a 1:1 setting, delivering ESY instruction and support.
• Develop and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans.
• Monitor and record student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with school staff and families regarding student development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Stay informed about best practices in special education and apply them to daily instruction.
