Special Education Resource Teacher Needed in CT

A school district in Connecticut is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher to support students across K–12 grade levels. This position will focus on providing targeted instruction and interventions for students receiving services outside the general education classroom.

Role Overview:

• Work with a diverse caseload of students receiving resource support

• Deliver specialized academic instruction aligned to IEP goals

• Support students’ transitions between the resource room and general education classes

• Partner with teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to ensure student success

• Complete progress reporting, documentation, and compliance tasks as required

Requirements:

• Valid CT teaching certification with Special Education endorsement

• Background supporting students across multiple grade bands preferred

• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate effectively with school teams
