Your expertise in IEP writing and providing push-in support will ensure that each student receives the individualized attention they deserve. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll have a steady presence in the classroom, supporting progress and achievement throughout the academic year—all the way through June 2027. Compensation for this position ranges from $39 to $53 per hour, reflecting your valuable experience and commitment.
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut certification in Special Education (065, 165, or 265); DSAP certified candidates will also be considered
- Previous experience supporting secondary (grades 6-8 or 9-12) students with special needs
- Proficiency in IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Skilled in case management, classroom accommodations, and differentiated instruction
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Write and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance and measurable growth for each student
- Deliver direct instruction and provide ongoing classroom support within a resource/push-in setting
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and student support teams
- Monitor and document student progress while adapting strategies to meet evolving needs
