Position Details:

  • Two positions available serving students in grades K-5.
  • Full-time contract, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Assignments begin as soon as possible and extend through June 10, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Provide engaging direct instruction and academic interventions within a resource and push-in model.
  • Manage student case files, progress monitoring, and regular parent communication.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support inclusion and student growth.
  • Utilize data-driven strategies and best practices for elementary special education.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education certification (165 or 265 required).
  • Consideration given to DSAP certified candidates passionate about elementary education.
  • Prior experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, preferably at the elementary level.
  • Strong skills in case management, documentation, and individualized instruction.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

In this role, you'll receive $39-$53 per hour, reflecting your expertise and dedication.
