Certified Grades 9 - 12 Special Education Teacher - Hamilton, OH

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with students across elementary, middle, and/or high school settings (grades K-12)
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and external partners
• Adaptable approach and problem-solving mindset to meet varied student needs
• Previous classroom teaching experience in special education is preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs
• Develop, review, and adapt lesson plans and materials to differentiate instruction
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and parent communications
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to foster inclusive learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
• Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that supports student growth and self-advocacy
