This assignment covers the remainder of the school year (now through end-of-school-year) and features a consistent weekday schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position is in a separate setting classroom, supporting elementary students ages 6-8. Not only will you expand your expertise by working with diverse student populations, you’ll also gain valuable insights from collaborating with new colleagues and leadership teams—helping you sharpen your skills and elevate your career profile.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience with separate setting classrooms and early elementary students preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging instruction for students ages 6-8 within a separate setting
  • Implement and monitor IEPs effectively
  • Collaborate with general education staff, related services, and families
  • Maintain classroom structure and positive behavior supports
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to tailor instruction and intervention
