What we're seeking:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (North Carolina or eligible for reciprocity)
• Experience working with students in resource or self-contained/adaptive classrooms
• Knowledge of IEP planning, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to tailor academic and behavioral interventions to students’ unique needs
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Adaptability and passion for advocating for students with various learning abilities

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
• Provide instruction in small group or individual settings, modifying curriculum as needed
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Create a positive, structured environment that promotes student growth
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
