Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
• Previous experience in a middle school or resource classroom preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to foster a supportive, encouraging learning environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Teach and support middle school students in a resource classroom
• Create, implement, and monitor progress of IEPs for each eligible student
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
• Modify curriculum and lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
• Maintain regular documentation and compliance with school and state regulations
• Foster advocacy, independence, and success for each individual student
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
